In order to make sure all information is kept accurate according to your needs, order confirmations are sent to verify quantities and shipping details for every order. Headstart Nursery, Inc., can supply seed for your order or use customer's own seed. For shipping, we can pull and pack plants in cartons or ship in trays directly to your field in our custom trailers and bins. We also work with several transplanting contractors and will be happy to consolidate all of these services into one simple charge for plants "in the ground". At various times of the year, we are able to shift plants between the desert and Gilroy locations, taking advantage of the desert's high light and warm temperatures to produce superior plants in the winter months, then moving back North to Gilroy when the desert summer heat sets in. Seedless Watermelon Expertise In the past several years, Headstart Nursery, Inc., became the industry leader in triploid (seedless) watermelon transplants. We produce more seedless watermelon than any other nursery in California and have become the 'experts' on this expensive, difficult-to-grow crop. Certified Organic As the demand for organicall-grown, pesticide-free produce continues to increase, Headstart Nursery, Inc., has devoted XXXX square feet of greenhouse space soley to organic production.
